Every end of March to July, is the most suitable season for catching / squid jigging due to strong winds northeast monsoon in the South China Sea began to subside, then cuttlefish mating and nesting season begins. This means squid from deep will visit to certain places to spawn around Terengganu especially near Kapas Island, Bidong Island, Redang Island and some other places.outcome will increase when someone discovers squid spawning areas, where millions of squid gather and spawn in one place. This place is also known as " kandang". Kandang inhabited by millions squid there is not a single fish because squid diet level is too high,they are too aggressive at this moment,they eat among themself. Only mackerel, snakehead or sharks outside the surrounding area to eat squid. the most effective bait for this place is twist bait, using appolo technique,2 or 3 light bait tied on the leader. Usually when sink the bait,not reach the bottom yet,squids will stick to the bait.Squid jigging is rarely do when full moon because the squid move freely, there is also people do at this time because they did not give a specific target in kandang or nearby but Sometimes people will catch lots of squid. However, squid caught in full moon,bigger than those caught in the dark moon. Instead, the size of the fat body will turn into long after the full moon. In the dark moon is more appropriate because the lights will attract the squid to approach the boat.A skilled squid jigger will install three or fou rbait on a leader. Each one squid jigger able to earn between 200 to 300 kilo squid overnight if they jigging in kandang.In our country,we can squid jigging throughout the year but are not too many if not affected by its seasoon.In our country, on march to july each year is eagerly awaited by fans for squid jigging. This is because the alleged presence and migration of many Torak's squid to mate in Terengganu until  Mersing, Johor. When in this season,Torak squid has larger size than other types of squid, and it is more popular and tasty. The mort important thing is,we must try various bait when squid jigging because sometime squid like to choose different bait,so we must try and error when squid jigging,not to forget to bring them along.But it is depend on weather,water flow and wind flow too.

METHODS AND WAYS to squid jigging in MALAYSIA

Squid jigging (Squid Jigging) is a traditional method that does not use modern methods.Squid jigging is so fun. In Terengganu there are a variety of methods commonly performed by local fishermen to catch squid. One of them is the most interesting is mencandat, commonly using special equipment called candat. In the current market there are various types and brands of candat made nowadays. There are several type of  candat such is Twist Candat, Shrimp Candat, bait Candat, strand Candat and some type more. Candat is a hook which has up to ten points or more, which is attached to the tin and wrapped in colorful cloth, but nowadays hook is decorated with artificial bait or shrimp fry glossy plastic, compared to traditional candat is known as twist candat. Candat depends on what type of squid do you want to catch. Here we emphasize to capture / jigging torak, cumi-cumi, ketupat and jarum because the way to catch Mengabang, cuttlefish and octopus there is little difference
